The State Museum of Prehistory in Halle houses one of the most important archaeological collections in Europe. The Nebra sky disc is the oldest concrete representation of the cosmos in human history. These 3,600 year old Disc is to be found in a room above which shine thousands of stars.

In addition, the Sky Paths tourism network invites visitors to take a journey back in time to Saxony-Anhalt’s prehistory at five selected stations. In Surroundings of Halle, Saxony-Anhalt’s second-largest city, visitors can also take a look of Nebra, Pömmelte, Langeneichstädt and Goseck and immerse themselves in the world of archaeology and astronomy.
